Growing up was a process of learning about the world, the rules I was expected to live by, my limits, my possibilities, my identity. Growing into myself has been more a process of acceptance, discernment and the courage to step away from what (or who) no longer works for me. So I''m fascinated by the roles we play and the masks we wear in public and how these things often free us to express ourselves more honestly. I'm likewise fascinated by how, no matter who we wish to appear to be, our true selves often come through regardless.
